In general terms, concierge medicine is a healthcare model where patients pay an annual or monthly membership directly to their physician for services beyond what is traditionally covered by health insurance. Physicians in this model often have patient panels of only a few hundred (compared to a few thousand in traditional practices). This model shifts from a volume-based care model to a coordinated partnership between patient and physician, focusing on relationship, quality care, and overall lifestyle improvement.

Why we’re different:

At 4 Pillars, we believe the body is an intricate organism with each part affecting the other. It functions best when in balance. Using knowledge of traditional western medicine in cooperation with philosophies of alternative therapies we target the root cause of illness – an imbalance in that interconnectedness. This is in stark contrast to the ubiquitous, symptom-based style of medicine practiced today.

Concierge Preventive Care: Most insurances cover some amount of preventive care. At 4 Pillars, you’lll directly benefit from a deeper dive into what constitutes health. We’ll evaluate your whole-body to identify imbalance in one of three prominent domains. Based on the imbalance, we’ll discuss and institute lifestyle ‘protocols’ aimed at restoring homeostasis. If you don’t have that much of an alternative appetite, we can still discussed enhanced wellness, stability and longevity training, functional diet recommendations to reduce overall body inflammation, biometric screening beyond vital signs, and administrative advocacy for non-clinical paperwork

Concierge Adult Primary Care: Evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions is still covered by traditional health insurance. However, with a smaller patient panel, an indirect benefit of membership is often longer, unhurried appointments, flexible scheduling, direct access to communication with your physician (by phone, text, or private patient portal).

A form of electrotherapy that applies pairs of specific low-frequency electrical currents (typically in the microampere range, less than 1mA) to the body, with the premise that different frequency combinations target particular tissues or conditions. The therapy involves delivering some sensory electrical currents through various application methods including conductive graphite gloves, moistened towels, or gel electrode patches placed on the skin. The scars are of similar magnitude to endogenous electrical currents generated by the human body.
